Task 1: Power Source Unit Implementation
You are asked to create a Power Source Unit (PSU) that can provide three different voltage
levels to power three different loads (a voltage divider like example 06-04c in lab sheet no2).
The speci cations of the loads are given as follows:
1) 20V at 5mA load
2) 30V at 25mA load
3) 40V at 45mA load
The PSU is based on a voltage source of 150V, while the bleeder resistor needs to channel a
15mA current to the ground.
a) For each stage of the voltage divider calculate the respective resistance value.
b) Implement in simulink the desired PSU. Measure the voltage outputs of the PSU in
unloaded conditions. Note the results in a table.
c) Measure the desired voltage outputs in a loaded condition. Calculate the percentage
error between the desired voltage and the actual voltage outputs.

kindly guide me the procedure and I will do it myself

You need to form an unregulated power supply unit where the voltage will vary depending upon the load
amount. So, the unregulated power supply unit consists of a mains input which will be 150 V. This mains
input unit will be connected to the power transformer. The power transformer will provide the unregulated
voltage output with respective the load current. Then the power transformer is connected to recti er and
smoothing capacitor to convert the AC current to DC and have a smoothened power output but not the
voltage. Like this way you can prepare the power supply unit. In order to determine the resistance at
respective voltage divider, you have to determine the ratio of each voltage to its load current. For example,
the 20 V and 5 mA load, the resistance will be

Similarly, you can determine the resistance at other two voltage dividers.
