2017.4–2017.6 Optimize tension and compression bars using truss layout(Concrete

reinforcement Design Model Research Project/ Undergraduate Graduation research thesis
❖ Investigated and accomplished an dissertation about combining Truss Layout Optimization and Strut & Tie method to
decrease the steel reinforcement needed in reinforce concrete.
❖ With LImitstate: Form model, try to use the truss layout optimization theory to optimize the design model of tension and
compression bars so as to reduce the total steel capacity so thus reduce the design cost.

Design results:3D printing technology is used to optimize the construction process, and preliminary research results can

reduce the design cost by 40%

2016.2 – 2016.3 System for Constructing 80-Storey Building Using 3D Printing
