El Salvador is a country right below Guatemala and Honduras. 

El Salvador is in North America. It’s the​ s
​ mallest and the most 
densely populated country in Central America. The Capital of El 
Salvador is San Salvador which is also the biggest city . The 
Population is 6.421 Million. 

  
El Salvador's most common food is​ ​a pupusa is a thick griddle 
cake or flatbread from El Salvador, made with cornmeal or rice 
flour, similar to the Venezuelan and Colombian arepa.

El Salvador is ​known as the 

Land of Volcanoes, El Salvador has frequent earthquakes and 
volcanic activity. It is the only country in Central America that 
does not have a coastline on the Caribbean Sea. 
 
The best-known gangs, called maras in colloquial Salvadoran 
Spanish, are Mara Salvatrucha and their rivals 18th Street; 
maras are hunted by death squads, including Sombra Negra. 
Newer rivals include the rising mara, MS-13. 
 
 
¡Que chivo! [keh-chee-voh] Literally, it means “What a goat!” 
which obviously makes no sense at all. But it’s just an 
expression if you find something really cool, like: “How cool!” 
Example: ¡Que chivo que viniste a la fiesta! (“It’s so cool that 
you came to the party!”).
