 CANVAS X PROCREATE BRUSH PACK INSTALLATION
Installing Canvas X on your iPad it’s piece of cake. Since the release of the new .brushset format, you can import entire brush packs
into the app with just a few clicks. We recommend using Dropbox for this task, since we find it super friendly to perform file-transfers
between apps. First, decompress your ZIP file on your desktop computer and then upload it to Dropbox. Alternatively, you can use
WinZip app for iOS. There’s a free and a paid version of this app.

Locate the Frankentoon - Canvas X folder and tap the file Once it has fully downloaded, tap on the upper menu (...) at the
FTOON_-_Canvas_X.brushset. Wait until it downloads. right and select the ‘Export’ option.

A little popup will appear. Select the ‘Open in...’ Option and from
that menu select Procreate.

Procreate will open up automatically and you’ll see a loading Then, just create or open a new document in Procreate, tap on the

HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THIS PACK
Most of the Canvas X brushes take advantage of the recent
Procreate Wet Mix feature, which gives your brushes an
unbelievable realistic blending feel.
Depending on each brush settings and the way you apply strokes
with your Apple Pencil, you’ll experience different outcomes from
each one while you paint.
COLOR MIXING
If you overlap two or more colors using fast strokes while lifting up
your stylus each time, you’ll be able to see certain bleeding
between these colors. If you do an ‘scrubbing’ movement, these
colors will mix up with each other, as if you were using real oils.

USAGE
CREATING NATURAL PALETTES
The good ol’ color wheel, is great for creating swatches; but what
about if you take a more traditional approach and use the Wet Mix
feature, to create your color palettes. Just grab two or three basic
colors and have fun creating a crazy color bash; then, using the
Color Picker, select the most interesting ones and add them to
your Color Palette.
This approach is a hundred times more fun, as you’ll start to get
creative before you even start painting. You’ll find this swatches
creation method quite inviting to experimentation.

A TRADITIONAL PAINTING APPROACH
Most of the Canvas X brushes take advantage of the recent

Try different brushes together and layer them up to achieve certain

‘thickness’ on your painting.

Canvas X brushes are deliciously dynamic! They’ll respond to the
different levels of energy you apply while painting; from strength
to speed, your overall mood and feel will affect the way brushes
behave on your virtual canvas.
These brushes were designed to avoid the need of using the
Smudge Tool as much as possible. Most of Canvas X brushes will
softly blend colors when interacting with your Apple Pencil® using
different actions such as pressure, scrubbing, speed and the
overall feel of your painting style.

parts of the Canvas-X, modified or in original form, aren't available in a
distributable form on its own, or
