Answer
Based on the statistical record the author suggests that Lebron James is the
greatest player of all-time in the NBA, he also indicated data that argue that
Lebron James has a better statistical record in terms of Scoring, passing, and
rebounding. Furthermore, the author also included that impact of Lebron James
to a team that he played with and compared this to Michael Jordan. The author
claimed that Lebron James is better than Michael Jordan.

The pieces of evidence of the author are based on facts meaning it is true and
can be verified as such. For instance, the data regarding the statistics of Lebron
James and Michael Jordan. The sources of information that the author uses are
the NBA statistics that can be viewed on their website. The author did use
information from an informal authority, the author mentions “that many NBA fans
believe that Michael Jordan is the greatest of all time.”
It would seem, that the author is trying proved that Lebron James could become
the greatest of all time. Furthermore, the author is trying to end the debate
between who is the greatest of all time and I believe that he wanted to tell that
time will only tell who will be the greatest of all time and that Lebron James has a
higher chance of becoming the Greatest of all time.
The author’s target readers are NBA fans. It would seem, that the author is trying
to provide data that will help the readers decide on their own, who really is the
greatest of all time.
I think that the headline is exaggerated because it is harder to actually tell what
makes a player the greatest of all time is it the how much the player scored over
his career or the championship that he obtains?
In my mind, I always believe that Lebron James in a way because of the fact
that he is a great playmaker, after reading the headline it made me curious as to
what makes him great from another people’s perspective.
The claim in the headline did justify the claim that was in the headline, the article
has statistical evidence to prove its claim, it includes factual evidence such as a
team without Lebron will make that team less successful.
The article has strengthened my belief that Lebron James has a better chance
of betting everyone, It also strengthened my belief that Lebron James has a
better chance of surpassing everyone in the history of the NBA in scoring,
passing, or even championships.

If you will be asked to write an article for a newspaper, what sources would you use to strengthen the
validity of your claims?

The answer would depend on what article I’m writing, for instance, I’m writing an article that tells the life of
Warren Buffet, then the best sources that strengthen the validity of the article that I’m writing would be his
books or even having an interview with him. Assuming that I’m writing an article about the stock market,
then I would use the data given in Bloomberg, yahoo finance, or the Wall Street Journal among others.

Would you sell a news article because of its sensationalism and commercial value or its objectivity? Please
elaborate your answer.

I would prefer to sell a news article because of its objectivity, because of the fact that not all of the people
can distinguish the facts and opinion. In my opinion, the majority of Filipinos are easily influenced by what
they see online and because of that, they would have an unrealistic perspective about something. For
instance, in the case of Mary Jane Veloso and her family, at first, a lot of people supported her and after a
while, a lot of people despise her and her family because the majority think that the family is ungrateful then
it became a political campaign in away. Furthermore, the majority think that the train law is design for the
majority but when you dig deeper it actually designs for the wealthy people. Also, the majority thinks that
since there is a lot of economic growth in constitute to economic development but in reality, it does not
constitute development since poverty and unemployment are high even when economic growth in the
Philippines.
