 Differentiate the categories of rock and where it came from

C. Presenting Examples/ instances of the new lesson


 Show samples of rocks ( igneous, sedimentary and
metamorphic rocks

D. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #1


 Identify and classify the types of rocks below as to igneous,
sedimentary, and metamorphic rock Igneous rock

E. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills #2


 Collect at least five rock samples in your place and take a
photo of the samples. Describe the characteristics of each
rock depending on their appearance, texture, color, and
layers (or bands). Then classify them as to igneous,
sedimentary, or metamorphic rock

F. Developing mastery
 Filling in the table of the main categories of rock and
identify the types, description and process of formation
 Fill in the Venn Diagram to determine the similarities and
differences of the three types of rocks
Remarks 97% of the students will be able to identify and classify three main
categories of rock
Reflection To give enhancement learning activities of the 3% of the student who
did not meet the objectives.
