I am pleased to submit my resume for consideration for the Medical assistant position available in the Granger Medical
pediatrics department. I feel that I would make a great candidate for this position and a valuable asset to the company.

I am currently a student at Salt Lake Community College enrolled in Biology and chemistry classes. My goal is to obtain a
BSN from the University of Utah and specialize in pediatrics. This position would greatly benefit my career allowing me to
gain the experience and knowledge in the field and grow in the company.

I have completed a CNA course and clinical hours, but I have not yet been certified, a Phlebotomy course and have
obtained my BLS for healthcare providers. These courses have helped me obtain skills and knowledge I feel would help
me be a successful medical assistant and meet the Granger Medical mission of providing exceptional healthcare and a life
time of commitment to quality, compassion and respect. Skills I have learned by completing these courses include but are
not limited to:

 Patient/resident rights
 Use of good body mechanics to lift, move and transport patients
 Taking vital signs and patient charting
 Vein puncture and collecting blood specimen for lab tests
 Keeping an open air way on adults, children and infants
 Giving immunizations

As my resume states I also have the ability to read, write and fluently speak English and Spanish. Allowing me to
effectively communicate with patients of both languages.
