As Assistant Director, you will be responsible for the following:

 Medical staff affairs , including nursing staff issues and annual performa
 Medical staff affairs , including doctors issues and treatment related patients complaints
 Assessment of all admitted patients in absence of their consultants during duty timings only
 Vaccination in-charge, issuing new vaccination cards , making schedule and readjusting
previous once
 Pediatric consultations during duty timings , including follow ups of unavailable doctors
 Emergency patient treatment in ER during duty timings
 Leading a medical team.
 Keeping staff updated on new healthcare regulations.

As Medical officer, your responsibilities will be as follows:

 Urgent medical and nursing services (including resuscitation, stabilization and assessment
and diagnosis, treatment and referral as necessary)
 Assess the urgency and severity of presenting problems through history taking, examination
and investigation.
 Recommending and, where appropriate, undertaking treatment options and carrying
out/referring for appropriate interventions and procedures, including but not limited to
prescribing, minor surgery and other general practice procedures, counseling, psychological
interventions, advising and education.
 Carrying out diagnostic, therapeutic and support services as required.
 Ongoing health and development assessment and advice.
 Appropriate evidence based screening, risk assessment and early detection of illness,
disease and disability.
 Interventions to assist patients to reduce or change risky and harmful lifestyle behavior.
 Conduction of Immunization programs in IHS Children hospital.
 Ongoing care and support for patient with chronic and terminal conditions to reduce
deterioration, increase independence and reduce suffering linking, where relevant, with
appropriate service providers.
 Liaising daily with staff including other doctors, medical staff and healthcare professionals.
 Writing reports and maintaining records.
 Promoting health education.
 Teaching and supervising trainee doctors.
 Ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of medical care.
 Ensuring that all healthcare regulations and safety standards are met.
 Advising patients, parents and guardians concerning diet, activity, hygiene and disease
prevention.
 Ensuring the maintenance of the hospital and retaining room, OT & X-ray department by the
staff of Duty.
