Why am I a proud citizen of my country ?

There shouldn’t be a person who says he doesn’t like his country and isn’t proud to
be it’s citizen.I love my country and I am proud to be it’s citizen. I have at least three
reasons for this: its history, its people and its nature.

Bulgaria is a country whose history will amaze you. It’s one of the oldest countries in
Europe and probably in the world. Оur country has 13 centuries of history. From the
Thracians to the Slavs and proto-Bulgarians, everyone has left something in the
forging of its history. There are a lot of historical sites that will always remind us of
our ancestors and their deeds.

The second reason why I love my country is its people. Wherever you go, which
town or place you visit, you will always be greeted with kindness and hospitality. No
matter if you are a bulgarian or a foreigner, people will help you with every struggle
you experience and will make you feel comfortable and as if you are at home.

Maybe one of the most beautiful aspects of my country is its nature. Bulgaria has
extremely gorgeous countryside, with everything from snow-capped mountains to
beaches along the Black Sea coast. There are many beautiful places, which make
you feel as if you are in a heavenly place.

I love every aspect of my country and I can proudly say that there is no such place
as it. I would never consider another country my home. I am proud to be a citizen of
Bulgaria and everywhere I go, I proudly say that I am Bulgarian.
