Message center post # MC205360 Teams users making PSTN call via Cloud Connector

Edition (CCE) and On Premise Call Handling (OPCH) is not a supported configuration.
We're making some changes to the Microsoft Teams PSTN routing capability to ensure
Teams does not route PSTN calls via those topologies. Beginning mid-March, we are
removing the routing fallback that allows an outgoing PSTN call targeted for Direct
Routing to fall back OPCH/CCE in the event a Direct Routing path is not found. [How
does this affect me?]You are receiving this message because our reporting indicates
one or more Teams users in your organization are making PSTN calls that are being
routed to either an OPCH or CCE deployment. This may be happening due to the
following reasons: We have enabled the dial pad for some Teams users whom aren’t
properly configured for Direct Routing. Some users that are configured for Direct
Routing are making PSTN calls not resulting in a Direct Routing PSTN route match
and these calls are falling back to OPCH and CCE. [What do I need to do to prepare
for this change?]To validate, please ensure you have configured the routing for
users according to: Configure voice routing for Direct Routing. Once validated,
please verify that traffic flows via the Direct Routing SBC and not via the
CCE/OPCH environment using logs on your Direct Routing Session Border Controller.
Please see Additional Information for details on configuring voice routing.
