To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great honor that I write this letter of recommendation for Amy Jindra. I have
worked with Amy for the past three years and have come to admire her respect for
students, professionalism, outgoing personality, and willingness to work with all students. I
highly recommend Amy for the position she is applying.

Amy has taught multiple English classes at Pierz High School. Amy has supervised
paraprofessionals in her classroom and used their experience to help modify her
curriculum to meet individual student’s needs. Amy’s curriculum is very hands on and
grasps student’s interests. She implements projects that get at students’ prior knowledge
and helps them to retain the material. She teaches students to understand and find
appreciation for English and what it can be used for in everyday life. Students often leave
her class enthused and wanting to learn more.

In my mind one characteristic that portrays an outstanding teacher is one that is willing to
learn, share, and gain from experiences with others in the profession. Amy has been a
great resource for me in sharing ideas, activities, and opinions on the challenges and
successes that go into educating children. She has become a leader in the building with
technology by presenting at staff meetings and being a go to person for technology
questions.

As a professional, Amy is always looking at ways to improve her classroom instruction.

Amy includes technology into her classroom, has a strong behavior management program,
and uses class time wisely. She correlates her lessons to state standards while appealing
to the group of students she is teaching. She is continually changing her curriculum to meet
student’s needs, as well as evaluating her lesson for success.

More than this, though, Amy is an excellent person with endless character and a strong
moral compass. She is pleasurable to be around and makes those in her presence feel
welcome and significant. Her friendly demeanor allows students and colleagues alike to
feel comfortable in talking to her. If you have any further questions please feel free to call
me at 701-388-6190.

Sincerely,

Richard A. Teske
