testing for pediatrics and adults!

TYPES OF COVID TEST WE OFFER:

● Rapid Viral Antigen Test:

Performed with a nasal swab. In-house an gen test. This test is 87.5% sensi ve
and 99% specific (If the test result is nega ve, there is a 12.5% chance that a true
posi ve is overlooked by the test.) There is a 1 in 9 chance a posi ve COVID is
missed. A positive antigen test means that the person being tested has an active
COVID-19 infection.Turn around time: same day results within an hour from
specimen collection

● Molecular (PCR) Test: (Also known as: nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT),
RT-PCR test, LAMP test)
Performed with a nasal swab. This test is designed to detect the virus that causes
COVID-19. This test is 97.1% sensi ve (If the test result is nega ve, there is a 3%
chance that a true posi ve is missed). 1 in 35 chance posi ve COVID is
missed.Turn around me: results come back within 48-72 hours

● Antibody Test:

Finger prick (blood) test. This test is designed to detect an bodies present in the
blood. A posi ve result indicates that you may have had COVID-19 in the recent
past and have developed an bodies that may protect you from future
infec ons.Turn around me: results take up to 3 days

Please note that COVID-19 test results are available when outside
labs have completed them. Turnaround times may exceed the
amount stated above due to expanded statewide testing. We do
NOT GUARANTEE THE RESULTS on time. IF YOU HAVE TRAVEL
PLANS or ELECTIVE PROCEDURE THAT REQUIRES LIMITED TIME
REPORTING, YOU SHOULD PREPARE TO MAKE AN ALTERNATE
ARRANGEMENTS. XPRESS PEDIATRICS takes NO RESPONSIBILITY
for the delay in REPORTING BY THE LAB, LOST SPECIMENS etc.We
apologize for any inconvenience.

Covid Test Cost:

Uninsured patients
$80 office visit plus laboratory fees may vary (PCR cost)
$80 office visit plus $89 (rapid antigen test)

Insured Patients:

If you have insurance that is in our network, we cover the office visit. (If you have
a high deduc ble plan, you will have a copay associated with the visit. It will be
determined at the me of visit).
All PCR tests - The Labs (LabCorp or Quest) will submit to your insurance company
to get reimbursed directly.
RAPID ANTIGEN tests are performed in-house and results are available in 15
minutes. There is a charge of $89 associated with this test, regardless of your
insurance status. We are currently NOT billing your insurance company for the
test.

6PM.

A: Xpress Pediatrics offers all types of COVID-19 tes ng in ALL AGE
GROUPS. Pediatrics and adults

● Q: How safe is the facility?

A: Your safety is our utmost priority. We use extreme cau on and take
stringent steps to prevent cross spreading. We enforce social distancing
and everyone must wear a protec ve mask. We provide hand sani zers in
 the wai ng room, holding areas. Sea ng is arranged appropriately to
provide safe distance between pa ents and a endants.All surfaces are
cleaned with alcohol wipes frequently. All pa ent rooms, the surfaces are
sani zed with alcohol wipes and sterilized with U-V lights a er each pa ent
visit.All staff wear double layer protec ve ou its, face masks and face
shields. Gloves, frequent hand washing and liberal use of hand sani zers are
mandated by all staff.If you do not feel comfortable wai ng in common
areas and any other concerns you may have, please let our staff know and
we will accommodate your requests promptly.In order to provide clean,
