● Dealing with 450K+ highly unbalanced, unstructured data; Identified key variables using feature engineering; Built
ensemble machine learning models (boosting: GBM, bagging: Random forest/Balanced Bagging Classifier); Used
ROC/AUC curve to measure model performance.
● Established a comprehensive risk assessment system (Risk Metric) for the company to forecast the risk.
Bank Marketing Campaign SQL Query Retrieval (SAS, SQL) [Github]
● Utilized SQL in SAS to retrieve relevant information in desired format, and to organize data; The data is related
with direct marketing campaigns (phone calls) of a banking institution.
● Wrote SQL queries to retrieve top 5 marketing campaigns; rank conversion rates for each specific target group

Deloitte: NLP Tweets Analysis: Propose Strategic Government Responses to Covid-19 (Python, Tableau) [Github]
● Led a team of four to analyze Covid-19 related tweets to propose strategies on government actions. Applied
sentiment analysis on over 20 million tweets; Identified 3 clusters based on sentiment scores.
● Combined sentiment analysis with state level COVID-19 infected rate data to explore the effectiveness of state
level government actions. Utilized LDA model and identified 4 topics in tweets.
● Final report was selected as TOP reports and published on Smith official website.

● Led a team of four, applied data mining tools in Python to automatically analyze the company's financial report.
