Mark Montanari
Littleton Planning Board Chair
Littleton Town Hall
37 Shattuck Street
Littleton, MA 01460

Dear Mr. Montanari:

I am writing to you on behalf of the Boxborough Select Board regarding the 151 and 153 Taylor Street
Amazon Last Mile Warehouse Project. The Boxborough Select Board discussed the Amazon project as a
dedicated agenda item at their November 30th meeting. At this meeting, 20+ Boxborough residents
attended to express their concerns regarding the impact of the proposed Amazon development on
Boxborough. After nearly an hour and a half of discussion, the Select Board voted unanimously in favor
of assigning me the task of expressing to Littleton Planning Board, via this letter, the Select Board’s and
participating resident’s, strong opposition to the application for proposed modifications to the 151 and
153 Taylor Street Amazon project.

The Select Board and residents expressed the following concerns and perspectives regarding the 151
and 153 Taylor Street Amazon project:

 The Amazon project may lead to a significant increase in traffic trips from Littleton into
Boxborough. The Town of Boxborough is accordingly requesting that the Littleton Planning Board
require that all traffic exiting the facility be restricted from taking a right turn.
 The Town of Littleton is asking for 30 commuter rail overflow parking spots at the Amazon site.
Where Boxborough will be materially impacted by this project, Boxborough is requesting five
overflow parking spaces at the Amazon site be dedicated to Boxborough residents.
 What arrangements does Amazon plan to mark their vehicles leaving the distribution facility?
Boxborough is concerned that we will have no means of tracking traffic generated by the Littleton
Amazon facility if the vehicles leaving the Amazon facility are not clearly marked as Amazon
vehicles.
 What specific measures is the Littleton Planning Board considering to limit traffic trips from the
Littleton Amazon facility into Boxborough? This project has the potential to negatively impact
traffic patterns in Boxborough with no material benefit to the community.

As a neighboring community, we respectfully request that the Littleton Planning Board consider the
concerns raised in this letter. Boxborough is confident that the Littleton Planning Board will employ all
available measures to promote the interests of Littleton residents related to the Amazon project. The
Town of Boxborough requests equal consideration to mitigate the potential impacts of this project on
the Town of Boxborough.

Sincerely,

Ryan Ferrara
Town Administrator
