Summary of How to Stop Freaking Out and Tackle Climate Change

In the essay “How to Stop Freaking Out and Tackle Climate Change”, that was published in
2020 by the author Emma Marris, provides various solutions to stop the climate change.
Marris argues that no doubt our consumptive behaviour effects the climate, but because of
our economic system our society is bent more towards affordable unsustainable goods in
comparison to more expensive sustainable items. Marris also writes, there should be proper
law and order which can be implemented by officials to tackle climate crisis. To facilitate this,
political representatives should be elected wisely and attack major organization who highly
profited from this. Although, this change cannot be done by a single individual so to make
this more effective, teams needed to be appointed for specific work and team members can
divide up their work which is more appropriate for the task. This way the productivity of an
individual increases as he is skilled and experienced in that kind of job. Moreover, grouping
builds strong bonds and may well-temper your atmosphere concerns and unhappiness.
Marris states that it is still possible to shape upcoming years for the younger generations.
This will lead to our bright and realistically improved subsequent years in which the
environment is healing, canal with full of fishes, and the sky with flocking birds. Furthermore,
the author mentions, there’s still some time for us to shape our world which will be free from
all the inequalities and addresses the problem of climate change as it is vital for our psychic
health and motivation to have an image in mind of our target. Finally, Marris claims that we
need to act today, so in future our next generation do not have to make these many efforts.
So, ditch your shame and start working individually but collectively.
