Role of Chemistry in the field of Psychology

Our brain is composed of billions of neurons which is responsible on how we

act in every situation that we are facing everyday. As a Psychology major, since
we are studying human interactions and behaviors, it is important to know that
these responses are also connected in every chemical processes that is
happening inside our brain. This is where the field of Chemistry enter, in particular,
organic and biochemistry. In organic chemistry, we study here different drugs and
components which may affect the chemical process of our brain resulting in
different responses in every situation, either we control or making it worse. On the
other hand, biochemistry is the study of how chemical processes are responsible
on our reaction. Overall, Chemistry plays an essential role on how we can
understand deeply the field, Psychology.
