Increase Condensate and Flash Steam Recovery in The Coffee Process L1 and L2
Increase Condensate and Flash Steam Recovery in The Coffee Process L1 and L2
Reduce water losses 25,566 m3/year which represents 2.46% of total water
consumption.
3. Project Scope
Redirect the condensate discharge of extraction area, through a high pressure
condensate pipe line, and same line will discharge in condensate tank with a injectors
head so the steam flash can mix efficiently with the condensate.
Also there must be fitted a heat exchanger to condensate the flash steam and send it to
the condensate tank.
It’s includes: Specification, selection, supply and installation.

4. Alternatives considered
Do not save the flash steam and keep the currentwaste.
5. Timing
Quotation: 1 week
Equipment delivery: 6 - 8 weeks
Installation: 4 weeks (it’s depend on plant disposal)
Commissioning and training: 02 days
*the interconnections need a day per equipment (6 equipment) plus 2 days per
tank (2 tanks).
6. Risk analysis
Low Risk: the proposal is to save flash steam on the condensate tank.
