9.8 Notice three pronunciations of letter o – /əʊ/, /ɒ/ and
/ə/ (schwa).
Well, Alex, perhaps you can learn a few lessons from your old
man. I left university in 1975 before graduating. I couldn’t
wait to get married, so I found a partner immediately and
