Notice
This is to notify all the students of the Department of Civil Engineering of Southern University
Bangladesh, the department is going to take Final-Term Exam (Assessment) of the semester Fall
2020. According to university authority, we have to conduct the Assessment through online.
For conducting, the Final-Term Exam (Online Assessment) following standard should be
maintained.

Final Term Exam is 25%. The whole exam questions will contain two groups. The question
format will be as follows:

a) The Group “A” weight is 5% and questions will be MCQ/Fill in blank/short questions type.
In Group “A” there will be no options so that all questions have to be answered by the students.

b) The Group “B” weight is 20% and questions will be creative or Analytical broad questions
like open book exam and four questions will be set in Group “B”, out of which three have to be
answered by the students.
c) Exam duration is 1:30 hour.

d) Teacher will form different groups and will declare different set of questions for each group or
teacher may choose student to give any set of question prior to exam.

e) The Marks distribution for running semester and old semester are given below:

 Before starting the exam, the attendance of students will be taken by the screen shot
through Google Meet.
 Teacher may ask the students to open their camera in any time (During Exam).
 The student should attend online 30 minutes before starting the exam.
  After taking attendance, the assessment or exam will be conducted through Google
classroom and SIS.
 The name and ID will be written on the each top page at right side corner of the answer
script.
 During Submission Student’s signature is mandatory on each page. Without signature it
is not accepted as a valid answer script.
 The students will submit their answer script in pdf file (one file) format.
 After the exam duration, each student will be given 10 minutes more for submitting the
answer script. After 10 minutes, the marks will be deducted for late submission.
 Before sitting for exam, check your network connection and make sure that you will have
available data.
 If you face any problem regarding the exam, you should immediately inform the
respective teacher.

VIVA:

After the submission of written answer script every student have to attend in viva exam which
will be started from 2:30 pm (morning batch) and 8:30pm (evening batch) of the same day.
Viva exam is 15% which will be conducted from full course (mid-term + final term).
