1 Continuous Learning - demonstrate continual growth in knowledge and skills of current and
emerging technologies and apply them to improve personal productivity and professional
practice.

I created the Evidence of Continuous Learning video utilizing screenshots and images to
share four of the methods I use to stay current on instructional technology developments,
research, and trends: Participation (ISTE) Ed Tech Coaches and Leadership Networks,
communicating and collaborating with other instructional technology professionals via Twitter,
and attending professional conferences such as the International Society for Technology in
Education (ISTE).

My Twitter feed and conference attendance demonstrates my continual growth in

knowledge and skills of current and emerging technologies. Twitter is a great way to stay
connected to other professionals from around the state, nation, and world and continue my
growth as an instructional technology student and educator. I am connected to several
technology leaders and receive their updates and nuggets of ingenuity and inspiration at the
refresh of my feed. Most recently, I collaborated with Jim Knight and a host of technology
leaders around the globe to develop the Digital Learning Playbook. This opportunity was
discovered using Twitter thanks to my innovative and empowering PLN.

While less frequent than Twitter updates, the annual ISTE Conference has proven to be
another immersive experience that inspires and boosts my innovativeness while learning about
emerging technologies. Attending ISTE 2019 demonstrates my ability to apply knowledge and
skills to improve personal productivity and professional practice. Last year I learned about
Hyperdocs and 21st Century Coaching. The knowledge gained provide an opportunity for me to
lead the implementation of hyperdocs as a key instructional delivery model for asynchronous
learning days. I also had the opportunity to met two of my Kennesaw State Professors as they
presented Best Practice for 21st Century Teaching and Learning. This learning inspired me to
develop a school improvement project highlighting digital tools that can improve instructional
coaching in the virtual learning environment. I also cemented my role as a Nearpod
Administrator and broaden my PLN because of the addition of the extended Nearpod
community.

From my professional learning activities, I have learned that there is always more to
learn. Technology is developing quickly and we must be flexible and adaptable if we are to
harness its power to improve learning, both our own and that of our students. To improve my
growth, I can adopt a system to organize and archive my experiences in a cohesive collection.
This curation of ideas will prevent cognitive overload and focus my efforts on improving my
personal growth and professional practice.

My continual growth impacts faculty development and student learning. When I know
more and share more, our organization benefit substantially. Implementing these ideas
benefits students as we improve opportunities for them to think critically, communicate,
collaborate, and express their creativity. The impact can be assessed by reviewing
communication and instructional support log which highlights training sessions, observation,
and learning outcomes.
