Problem/Question:
Desert Farms Liquid Dish Soap:
Advanced Grease Cutting Detergent vs. Baking Soda and Vinegar

• Proven to degrease • Non-toxic ingredients

• Garden pest fighter • Safe to use around food
• Various uses: pest repellent, stainless steel • A combination of a natural alkali and natural acid
cleaner, etc. that becomes a cleaning agent

When compared, which cleaning agents work at a faster rate and clean without residue?
Hypothesis
When comparing the abilities of Desert Farms Liquid Dish Soap:
Advanced Grease Cutting Detergent and Baking Soda and Vinegar, I believe that Baking Soda and Vinegar will dissolve grease
and stains at a faster rate and with the least amount of residue. This is my hypothesis because I know that Vinegar has a
strong impact, as far as disolving, because of the high alkaline pH level that it represents and the potential reaction when
combined with factors such as Baking Soda.
Materials
• Garden Harvest White Distilled Vinegar
• Baking Soda
• Scotch Brite Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge
• Desert Farms Liquid Dish Soap: Advanced
Grease Cutting Detergent
Procedure
1. Collect all of the materials.
2. Split your area of interest, so that there are two separate areas to work with.
3. Pour a thin layer of baking soda over the areas(stove, sink, tile) and pour white vinegar until the baking soda fizzles.
4.Pour your soap in with hot water to make soapy water and scrub the areas(stove, sink, tile) until soaked.
5. Wait for one-minute increments and observe the areas.
6. After five minutes, proceed to wipe each of the areas with separate sponges (notice how hard you have to work to clean the area vs
the other).
7. Wipe the area with a cloth to see dry results. Make sure to look for residue and filth that has not come off.
8. Determine which area and materials cleaned the best under what conditions.
Results/DATA

Desert Farms Liquid Dish Soap:

Advanced Grease Cutting Detergent

Baking Soda and Vinegar

Conclusion
In conclusion, the Garden Harvest White Distilled Vinegar and Baking Soda cleaned all three tested areas (stove top, sink, tile) in
the least amount of time (tested in minute increments), with the least amount of residue, and with the cleanest and shiniest
outcome. The Desert Farms Liquid Dish Soap: Advanced Grease Cutting Detergent has a promise to break down grease;
however, it has questionable ingredients and did not act as fast as the natural alternative that is almost always on hand in the
kitchen.
