MAP CONTROL
• First step is to get to 3 TCs and boom (1 TC wood 1 TC on second gold)
• If you have army advantage and you attacking, send 1 vil to make (siege workshop/monastery) on a forward hill
o Keep trying to fight near that building and pressure from there, always stay near the hill
• Once you get 3 TCs and you have a good boom, send vils from your first TC to stone (6-7) around 25-27 min. If you
do this, around 32-33 min you will have enough for a castle. Put that castle on the best hill defensively (to protect
most of your economy)
• Send 1-2 vils to both sides of map to make outposts
o Get town watch, if you haven’t gotten already
• If you have enough stone for more castles, put them on every hill in middle of map, usually near extra golds/stones
that you scouted with outposts
• Put couple more TCs on extra golds/stones that you find as well
• Late imp, when you have like 180-200 pop, start making stables on sides to raid him
• So basically, if you do all this, you should have control of middle hills, use your main army (gold units + siege) in
middle, while you raid with some hussar or light cav on sides

HUNS TRUSH DEFENSE


• Assuming you always open 21 pop scouts:
• Usually in Huns war, they will go forward with 4 vils and do the skirm/spear forward. The other option is M@A forward, you rarely see
the 7 vil crazy trush.
• 3 variations that can come up based on maps, but usually we react the same for both the M@A and the skirm spear forward.
• One thing remains the same for every variation though, you always aim to go knights in castle Age (2-3 stables depending on what you
can afford). The reason being, knights can clean up towers quite easily, they can also clear up the mass of leftover skirms. Usually your
opponent will be open at home so you can easily raid with knights. In castle, keep your knowledge of spending your resources the same
you’re just doing it with knights instead of CA. Good investments are TCs firstly then monasteries and siege shop. Don’t be afraid to stay
1 TC for a bit to gain momentum with the knight numbers though (monastery first can be a good option).
