This will take you to

Enter your Username
and Password to
Login to Clever
Enter your Username

Login to MackinVIA or
Clever
MackinVia home
page:
● Click on
‘Databases’
2 science databases
include Science in
Context and Science
Reference Center.
Click on ‘Open Now’.
Enter a topic into the
search bar
(ex: chimpanzees)
● You can go straight to ‘News’,
‘Academic Journals’, or
‘Magazines’ by clicking on them
in the ‘Content Types’ box to the
right.
● Skip past the ‘Reference’ section.
● Scroll to the bottom of the page
to find ‘News’, ‘Academic
Journals’, or ‘Magazines’. These
will have the current stories that
you are looking for.
Use the ‘Tools’ to
Download a copy of
the article.
Choose the PDF
format and open the
Downloaded article.
Open Canvas - choose
‘Discussions’ and find
the currently open
Discussion Post
Reply to the current
Discussion Post.
Include your
summary of your
article in the box.
Attach your
downloaded PDF of
your article. Click on
‘Browse’
Search ‘Downloads’
to find your article.
Click on it and click
‘Open’ in the bottom
right corner.
Your article will
appear next to the
‘Browse’ button.
After you have added
your summary and
your PDF of your
article, click on ‘Post
Reply’.
Once you have posted
your reply, you can
click on someone
else’s summary and
article and reply to
them.
