 SITE SURVEY DESCRIPTION

SERVICE SITE SURVEY SCOPE OF WORK DESCRIPTION

DESCRIPTION After the contract signature NOKIA will carry out a detailed site survey over the link(s)
of the system, in co-operation with the customer’s representative.
Information checked and/or collected during the Site survey :
Ø  Check of access condition :
q  Site address, Site location map, Site physical access,
q  Technical room location, Elevator/staircase availability,
q  Contact person,
Ø  Check of civil work; Internal, External, Tower,etc. (Under Customer Responsability)
Ø  Indoor Installation details:
q  Technical room configuration and location of equipment to be installed,
q  Check presence of Indoor grounding points,
q  Power supply configuration, Breakers availability,
q  Indoor cable ducts configuration, Wall/Roof feed-thru availability check, DDF configuration,
q  Air Conditioning, Fire alarms, safety system (if any)
Ø  Outdoor installation detail & Simple Visual Line of sight : (Only for new antenna)
q  Simple visual line of sight. (For links that do not require a Topographic Survey)
q  Description of aerial installation platform (pylon/roof type/water tower/others), including :
§  Tower Height, Available space on tower for new antenna positioning.
§  Necessary additional attachment to provision,
q  Check presence of outdoor grounding points,
q  Availability of outdoor cable tray
q  Estimation of global cables length (indoor and indoor-outdoor);
Elaboration of a detailed reporting with eventual blocking points and images relative to each checked points
PRE-CONDITIONS The following pre-conditions are under the customer responsibility :
Ø  The physical site must be accessible by road,
Ø  The customer must ensure that the surveying team is provided a full access to the site.
Ø  The customer must provide a site contact person.
Ø Description of co-located indoor / outdoor radio equipments or antennas must be available
(existing adjacent radio networks), with indication of the radio beam(s) direction and frequency,
Ø  The civil work, the grounding and the lighning, must be available by the customer.
Ø  The building, the power (Primary, secondary) and the tower, must be available by the customer.
Ø  For long haul application availability of a topographic survey report including at least :
q  Sites location on a map (scale 1/250), physical address, GPS coordinates,
q  Sites description (including indoor and outdoor images of the site),
q  Images of line of sight, with the potential position of the antenna(s),
q  MW equipments types and HW configuration.
