INTRODUCTION
❖ In Manila, between 250,000 and 1 million children live in
the streets.
❖ These street children have higher risks of getting
infected by the Coronavirus, yet these children meet
and interact with different people, including other
street children, who are just as vulnerable as they are,
transiting every day without protection.
❖ The activities of these children not only threaten their
own health, but also put that of others in society at risk.
INTRODUCTION
❖ In addition, many street children commonly suffer from
underlying health conditions.
❖ Children who live in the streets are more prone to
infectious diseases compared to other children who live
in houses. These diseases include those of the
respiratory tract such as pneumonia and asthma.
❖ The plights of these children call for a swift
humanitarian response to provide welfare packages and
protective materials to them.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
1. To ensure the safety of the street children
during the pandemic;
2. To provide the children with food, shelter,
clothing, and healthcare;
3. To educate them on proper health and nutrition
tips;
4. To give awareness to people that these children
are also heavily affected by the pandemic.
MISSION
We connect people around the
world in the country. Working
together, we invest in the lives of
children and youth, build the
healthy environments they need
to thrive, and empower them to
create lasting change in their
own lives and communities,
especially during the pandemic
when they most need our help.
