field inside a very long solenoid having n turns per unit length carrying a current I.

32. Write Einstein’s photoelectric equation. State clearly the three salient features observed
in photoelectric effect, which can be explained on the basis of the above equation
33. (a) Define current sensitivity of a galvanometer. Write its expression.
(b) A galvanometer has resistance G and shows full scale deflection for current Ig.
(i) How can it be converted into an ammeter to measure current up to I0 (I0 > Ig)?
(ii) What is the effective resistance of this ammeter?

34. Deduce the expression for instantaneous current, phase relation between the voltage and
current and plot the graph for voltage and current with respect to time in A.C with inductor

35. (a) A particle of charge ‘q’ and mass ‘m’, moving with velocity is subjected to a uniform
magnetic field perpendicular to its velocity. Show that the particle describes a circular path.
Obtain expression for the radius of the circular path of the particle.
(b) Explain, how its path will be affected if the velocity𝑣⃗ makes an angle (𝜃 < 90°) with the
direction of the magnetic field.

the expression for transformer ratio and write about the different forms of energy loss take
place in the transformer.

37. With the help of a labelled diagram, explain the principle and working of moving coil
galvanometer. Derive the expression for relation between current and angular displacement
of coil in moving coil galvanometer.

38. (a) State Faraday’s laws of electromagnetic induction.


(b) Derive an expression for the emf induced across the ends of a straight conductor of
length l moving at right angles to a uniform magnetic field B with a uniform speed v.
(c) Obtain the expression for the magnetic energy stored in a solenoid in terms of the
magnetic field B, area A and length l of the solenoid through which a current i is passed

39. State Biot-Savart law. Write its vector form. With the help of the Biot-Savart law,
Deduce the expression for magnetic field produced by a circular current loop at a point on its
axial line.

40. (a) Draw a schematic diagram of an ac generator. Explain its working


and obtain the expression for the instantaneous value of the emf in
terms of the magnetic field B, number of turns N of the coil of area
A rotating with angular frequency. Plot the graph showing the variation of emf with respect
to time
