C. Specific to Bachelor Of Technology and Livelihood Education


A BTLED graduate should have developed the ability to:

m) Demonstrate the competencies required of the Philippine TVET trainers-Assessors Qualification Framework(PTTQF);
n) Demonstrate broad and coherent, meaningful knowledge and skills in technology and livelihood education.
o) Apply with minimal supervision specialized knowledge and skills in technology and livelihood education;
p) Demonstrate higher level literacy, communication, numeracy, critical thinking, learning skills needed for higher
learning;
q) Manifest a depth principled understanding of the learning processes and the role of the teacher in facilitating these
processes in their students;
r) Show a deep and principled understanding of how educational processes relate to larger historical, social, cultural,
and political processes;
s) Apply a wide range of teaching process skills (including curriculum development, lesson planning, materials
development, educational assessment, and teaching approaches); and
t) Reflect on the relationship among the teaching processing in the students, the nature of the content/subject matter,
and other factors affecting educational processes in order to constantly improve their teaching knowledge, skills and
practices.

The SLSU CTE aims to:
1. Produce Science and Technology oriented teachers imbued with reflective thinking and with theoretical ,technical,
and practical competence;

IX. Program Objective:


Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education shall impart a body of knowledge, skills, attitude, values, and experiences
that will provide prospective grade 4-8 EPP/TLE teachers with the necessary competencies essential for effective teaching
and at the same time are accredited TVET trainers and assessors.

XII. COURSE NAME BEAUTY CARE (NAIL CARE)

An exploratory course in Beauty Care ( Nail Care) Services which covers four common competencies
that a Bachelor Technology and Livelihood Education student ought to possess, namely; 1) use of
COURSE tools and equipment;2) interpreting nail design; 3) practicing Occupational Health and Safety
DESCRIPTION Procedures (OHSP); and 4) maintain tools, equipments and paraphernalia. The preliminaries of this
course include the following: 1) discussion on the reference of the course: 2) explanation of the key
concepts relative to the course and: 3) exploration on career opportunities.
