Title: Counting, it can be fun!

Relevant SC Standards:
K.NS.1: Count forward by ones and tens to 100.
K.NS.2: Count forward by ones beginning from any number less than 100.

Description: This app lesson will develop Kindergarten students’ understanding of numbers from 1-100,
and their ability to count forward by ones and eventually tens.

Instructional Objective: Students will be able to use this app to further their learning about numbers and
number sense, after going through the apps students will create a chart of their favorite set of numbers
(10s, 20s.) all while keeping it in their grade levels understanding. They will also be able to

Step 1 Content-Based or Skill-Based App: Students will be able to use this app to create sets of
numbers to count and add with. This app helps kids slowly start to learn more about numbers and what
happens when we add them. This app also allows students to count to 120 and gives explanations when a
wrong answer occurs.

Step 2 Content-Based or Skill-Based App: Students will play and interact with multiple small games
and activities all while being able to give the students the ability to count to 100. There is also a section in
the app that focuses purely on Number sense, giving the students the ability to learn the numbers.

will be able to count by 2’s on level 1. You must pay moving forward but I’m sure the school would help
the teacher with that. This should help students learn more about numbers and show what number comes
after which. The layed out table helps with that as well. Playing these games and eventually working up
the knowledge to count by themselves to 100 will be easily achievable through these small math games.
