The lesson focuses on define “at word family” and explain what a word family is also identify
word families in text.
Lesson Outcomes
Student will be able to read and write words in the -at family.

Some students may have struggles to
identify word families. Have advanced students to write and identify word
families. Provide struggling students with one-on-one
assistance with identifying the at families.

Reflection:
I opened my lesson by asking question for example who wants to meet our new word family? And who
can think of an at word?. Then I showed them the vocabulary before the song to get used to hearing the
words before the song like how they pronounce the word and what’s dose mean. Then I played the song
After that we moved on to the PowerPoint each slide have different activity that’s make them super
engage with the lesson with sounds cartoons.
My pupils were engaged and they like participating with me all the times. Also, they asking questions if
they don’t understand the lesson or if they want me to repeat something. At the end of my class I
assessed the students by asking question what did you learn? Also with their participating in the class
time.

Formative Assessment
I assessed my kids by asking questions , participating and when they solve the worksheet. For
example who wants to meet our new word family? And who can think of an at word? What does this
word mean? .I asked my pupils to repeat after me for each vocab. For Instance, we have the
first word “C – at” say with me C – at if we pronounce it together will be “Cat” who make
the sound meow it’s Cat. The last think I give them the homework.
