1. Summary
We received a few complaints that the power does not go on because of a failure
in the power supply unit. As a result of investigating the problem, we found a short
circuit on the power board that was caused by foreign objects entering the power
supply unit.
Please apply dustproof measures to the power supply unit.

of equipment.

Measures Against Dust in the Power Supply Unit


1. Clean the filter shown in the photo. (It gets dirty easily.)

2. Remove the power supply unit.


For details, refer to the Service Manual.

3. Remove the 13 screws and then remove Lid A and B from the power supply unit.

4. Attach a packing (079014014A00) around the air inlet on the rear side of the power
supply unit.

Attach the packing so that it


does not clog the air inlet.

5. Attach the new Lid A (0790B4002A00) with two screws.

6. Clean the power supply unit and make sure there is no dust or foreign object.
7. Re-attach Lid B.
8. Attach the power unit to the main unit in the opposite sequence to removal.

The lower right side panel must be attached before turning the power ON. Dust
will be sucked in the power supply unit easily if the power is turned ON without
the attachment of the lower right side panel (as there is no filter).
