Course Description: This course introduces the basic concepts of limit, continuity, differentia-
tion, integration, and some of their applications.
Prerequisite(s): None.

Course Objectives:
At the completion of this course, students will be able to:

1. understand the formal definition of limit and continuity,


2. evaluate limits of functions,
3. determine points of discontinuity of functions,
4. apply Intermediate Value Theorem,
5. evaluate derivatives of different types of functions,
6. apply derivatives to solve problems,
7. evaluate integrals of different types of functions,
8. apply integrals to find areas and volumes
