 Mentee continues to engage students through use of Pear Deck as part of everyday lessons.
 Students that are active at this time continue to grasp the concepts presented in class
 Non-participatory students are struggling. Teacher is having a difficult time reaching out to the
large number of students that are AWOL. Is finding it difficult to reach families because info is
not updated in PowerSchool.
 Suggestions:
o Create a Google Voice number to send texts to parents and can also send a translated
version for those parents that need language assistance.
o Set-up a meeting with 9th grade clerk to call specific students that need translations
assistance.
o Keep a log of who, when, and time of calls/texts in Excel w/ notes about interactions.
This can include reaching out to the students
o Use Remind to blast out class reminders.
o Touch base with student deans or Mr. Zeno of the Husky Outreach Team to see if they
have any additional information on failing students.
