POPULAR WEBSTER SUPERVISOR RETURNS TO GOP

WEBSTER SUPERVISOR TOM FLAHERTY SWITCHES PARTY & SEEKS REELECTION AS A REPUBLICAN

ROCHESTER NY - Webster Supervisor Tom Flaherty announced today his enrollment as a Republican and his intentions
to seek the Webster Republican Committee's support for his 2021 reelection bid.

Flaherty, serving his first term as Webster Supervisor, defeated a 14-year incumbent in 2019, running on the Democrat
line. The top vote-getter for the Town Board in Webster that year, Flaherty is widely known as a successful businessman
and community volunteer.

“My number one priority is serving the residents and taxpayers of Webster while delivering the highest quality of life for
our town. The Town Board’s partnership has convinced me that governing is a team sport and that returning to the
Republican Party is the right decision for my constituents and me,” said Supervisor Flaherty.

“As a business owner, I’ve always been a fiscal conservative but socially moderate. Fiscal decisions and customer service
are what being a town supervisor is all about, not progressive agendas.”

“This past year as the Webster Town Supervisor has energized me in ways I never imagined. The goals we set for Webster
got off to a great start in 2020, despite the obvious challenges facing the nation. I want to continue as Supervisor so we
can finish the job we started with our dedicated team of department heads and Town Board members,” emphasized
Flaherty.

“The Republican Party is elated to welcome Webster Supervisor Flaherty to the pantheon of good-government Republican
town supervisors,” said Republican Committee Chairman William Napier, referring to the now 15 of 19 Republican-led
towns. “To paraphrase Mark Twain, reports of the GOPs death in Monroe County are greatly exaggerated. Our message
of limited government, personal freedom and public safety are alive and well because it’s what the people support.”

“As Webster town Republican Leader, it will be my honor to nominate Tom Flaherty for the designation as the Republican
candidate for town supervisor in 2021,” said Peter Elder. “Tom’s leadership at town hall during COVID has reinvigorated
Webster town government while controlling costs and maintaining vital services.”

“When I ran for Webster Town Supervisor in 2019, I found many citizens felt disenfranchised from the governance of the
town. I vowed never to have that happen on my watch, and I will continue to assure it does not, regardless of political
party affiliation,” pledged Flaherty.

“On this day of new beginnings, I would be remiss if I did not thank Sasha Dimaria, leader of the Webster Democratic
Committee. Her measured, calm demeanor as a leader is something I have the utmost respect. She has two characteristics
I treasure most in a person I work with; integrity and work ethic. Those two characteristics are not the domain of any
particular political party,” concluded Flaherty.
