Internet of Things (IOT) based security

system
Most of the IOT based security systems are mostly dependent on
Bluetooth/WIFI or user’s private data like fingerprints or IMEI number from
mobile. People don’t like to share these kinds of personal information. Even
though we share these kinds of information traditional security system
cannot provide the security we need.

 Bluetooth/WIFI can be hacked.

 Binary data generated from Finger print and IMEI numbers on any
device are constant data, so they can hardly be changed. So intruder
needs to get this information only once to get access.
 Again the presence of the registered person or the device is a must to
get access. In case of emergency if the person or device isn’t
present, it will be hardly possible to get access.

We propose a very simple system where the user does not need to share
fingerprints or rely on any device. Even the same system can be used to
secure multiple belongings like House, Car and Locker etc.
The basic structure of our proposed system is shown in the diagram.

Our system consists of

1. Door access controller: Each time someone tries to get access
it will generate a key of 5 digit number using PRNG (Pseudo Random
Number Generator) algorithm and sends the number to the Cloud
server

2. Cloud Server: stores the generated key and sends it to the

android app.

3. Android app: The app will fetch the generated key from the cloud
and the user will use the key to enter. The number of user at a time
will be restricted. User will be able to use the app only after
successful authentication process.

Since the access controller generates different random key each time it will
be difficult to hack the system. The generated key is to be stored in the
cloud so hackers will not be able to get the key by any means. Since the
only way to get the key is the android app, the number of user at the same
time will be restricted. It also does not require any kind of personal data to
share .

We believe that our system will introduce a new COT based security
system that will allow users to rely on one universal system for all of their
belongings. It can be implemented on Door lock, Car even it can be used
for lockers.
