Coronavirus in Weatherford, Texas

The recent outbreak of COVID-19 had put the town of Weatherford in a state of
barrenness and paranoia. The town’s most lively and populated areas are now occupied by
emptiness and silence. Without the people around to give the town its life, Weatherford is
looking like a sad town. Places like Weatherford High School, Weatherford College, and
local parks like Cherry Park are completely empty and devoid of life to the point where it’s
almost scary. Stores that often host to hundreds of people are empty beyond recognition.
There are usually lots of places filled with people. For example, Weatherford College,
a place usually filled with hundreds of aspiring students trying to get an education, is now
hollow and filled with silence. Another is Weatherford High School usually always has
people there, students and teachers alike, all hours of the day and now must wait too be
filled once again with minds to shape for college. Finally there are Pubic Parks in
Weatherford like Chery Park that usually have young and older children playing on the
equipment in the park and in the pool, as well. And now, they are quiet as they wait for
quarantine to pass and summer to begin.

Another area of Weatherford College where many students would come together too still and
empty to recognize.

The Weatherford College Nursing Building one of the things its most known for but alone with no
life within.

Usually the parking lot of Waterford College is brimming with vehicles but now only a small few
at a time for upkeep of the campus.
This is the main entrance to Weatherford High School that hosted to hundreds of students every
day and now is left behind in the face of COVID-19.

The auditorium entrance to Weatherford High School used to be able to greet hundreds of
attendees for choir and band concerts, theater plays, and many more events but is now empty.
The parking lot at Weatherford High School was filled with cars, people, and even band and drill
students practicing for next season but has seemingly been abandoned since coronavirus.

The playground at Cherry Park in Weatherford is one of the best places to bring your kid when
they want to play and thanks to social distancing children can still have fun even if not on the playground
equipment.
The Cherry Park Pool is another popular location in Weatherford but its waters have been still
since the COVID-19 outbreak began.

The Cherry Park staff has had to remove to the swings from the swing-set as to help prevent
infection.
The shopping center in Weatherford is usually filled with cars and families looking to buy a
multitude of items but since the closing of non-essential businesses, it holds only a fraction of those
shoppers.
A local barbershop, Hair on the Square, is closed due to COVID-19 and the only thing that occupy
these chairs are trashcans.
Finally, a type of sign that can be found at every business in town that warns people about the
new policies that the virus has forced us into. This certain one an be found at Bullard’s Vet Supply.
