o The purpose of transporting the injured is to
remove the patient from any further danger and
get them to a proper medial aid facility
O Transporting the patient consists of the following
techniques:

o Human crutch
o Fore and aft carry
o Two-handed seat
o Three-handed seat
o Four-handed seat
o Chair carry
o Drag carryLifting
o Always keep your back straight and lift with the
legs when lifting anything heavy.
o When a change of direction must be made, turn
with your feet rather than rotating your back.
o Keep heavy loads as close to the vertical axis of
the body as possible.
