Tr: let's take the attendance, please send one emoji in the chat box.
Tr will put an equation about the lesson that they took yesterday which is take
apart tens to subtract
Tr will present 54 – 13 =
- Modelling:
Tr: here we have 24 – 8, first we will use 2 tens and 4 ones, which show 24.
Tr: next, we will subtract the ones, we need to take away 8 ones from 24.
Tr: there are 4 ones in 24, they are not enough ones to subtract, so we need to
regroup.
Tr: to regroup we need to take 1 ten from the tens column and replace it with
ten ones.
