An interview with Mrs. Genelita E. Hernandez-Laboratory High School Principal

Good morning Madam. Thank you for giving us your time today. We are here to ask
you some questions regarding the readiness of MinSCAT for the full implementation of K+12.
The information we will gather will be used for the article we are writing.
First question Madam,

1. Will MinSCAT offer Grades 11 and 12 on June 2016?

2. Are we officially enlisted as one of the non-DepEd institutions to offer senior high

school?

3. Then, what are the preparations initiated by the administration in preparation for

K+12?

What are the efforts being exerted?

4. What are the vocational courses that will be offered by MInSCAT?

5. Madam, what about your projection on the enrolment for 2016? Do you have any

figure?

6. Would that still be under your department? Do we also count them as part of the

laboratory high school?

7. Do you think MinSCAT has sufficient facilities to accommodate the incoming senior

high enrolees? If there is/are, what upgrades should MinSCAT be initiating?

8. How about the tuition fees, are we expecting lower fees compared to that of the

college?

9. Lastly madam, do you have any document that could hlp us in writing this article?

Good morning Sir President! Thank you for sparing us your precious time.
We just would like to ask some questions on the readiness of MinSCAT for the
full implementation of K+12 comes June 2016 when the first batch of senior
high is coming and no college freshmen will be enrolling.

This is our first question.

Let’s talk about the capacities po of the College.

1. How many senior high students could MinSCAT accommodate?

2. Are we still maintaining the 45 students/class that is being implemented

in the laboratory high school department in grades 11 and 12?
(if yes=ok, if no= So we are expecting a larger number of enrolees then?)

3. How about the facilities po, will the facilities being exclusively used by
the college students be open for use of the

Regarding the human resources of the College…

1. Do we any issues regarding the security of employment of our teaching
and non-teaching staff?

2. (We often hear from the news how the Filipino teachers will be affected
by K+12. Is that also an issue in MinSCAT?) How about other faculty
members with other fields of specialization, will they be affected?

Additional questions…
1. Sir, knowing how difficult your tasks are as the prime mover of
MinSCAT, do you feel any burden regarding the full implementation of
K+12? Especially that, just like the other higher educational institutions
in the country, there will be no college freshmen enrolling on June 2016.

2. The K+12 is revolutionizing the educational system in the Philippines,

what are the actions of the administration to soften the impact brought
about by it?

3. Since we will be having a senior high department, does that mean that
the college will be reporting directly to DepEd? Does that create
additional adjustment on the part of the College?
