DAVE DENNIS LAUNCHES STATEWIDE GOVERNOR
CAMPAIGN KICK‐OFF
21 stops across a thousand Mississippi miles with a message of private sector
leadership for job creation, improved education, government reform
Pass Christian, Mississippi – Mississippi Republican businessman Dave Dennis launches a statewide campaign
kick‐off tour for his campaign for Governor on Monday, February 14 from his hometown of Pass Christian.
Dennis will share his message of private sector leadership for job creation, improving education and
outsider government reform on the 21‐stop tour over a thousand Mississippi miles.
“This year Mississippians will choose their next CEO of the state. We need someone with job creation
experience and private sector leadership to bring new investment to the state, expand our current
businesses, improve our schools, and make government smaller and more efficient so individual
Mississippians and the private sector can grow in prosperity,” Dennis said.
He continued, “When Kirk Fordice announced his campaign for re‐election from my front yard, he said
no one should run for public office until they have signed the front side of a payroll check. I have that
experience. In my business we make payroll every week, we have to contain costs, and we have to grow
our opportunities. Mississippi will need that same leadership: government must meet its responsibilities
effectively, be trimmed to save taxpayer dollars, and allow the private sector to grow to expand
opportunities for every individual, family and worker in Mississippi.”
The campaign kick‐off tour begins on Monday in Pass Christian, Biloxi, Pascagoula, Hattiesburg and
Mendenhall. The rest of the week includes stops in Jackson, Richland, Vicksburg, Yazoo City,
Greenwood, Hernando, Southaven, Tupelo, Mayhew, Philadelphia, Meridian, Quitman, Laurel,
Columbia, McComb and Picayune. Times and places of the stops are attached.
