Welcome to the 2017 Wolf X-Ray catalog. In response to PROTECTION
the evolving needs of the radiology community, we have
added many new innovative products to our line. While
these new products all relate to radiology, many are not the
first thing that comes to mind when you hear “Wolf.” And
the word “X-Ray” only tells part of the tale of who we are.
Our new Wolf PACS Adjustable Workstations allow the
WORKSTATIONS
radiologist to create a totally custom-fitted viewing
environment that can be changed at the touch of a button
to accommodate different positions and different users. WORKSTATIONS
See page 19 for details.
We have expanded our styles of positioners to include
products for many medical disciplines: Ortho, Pediatric,
Veterinarian to name a few. And our new Mobile Shield
and Mobile CR/DR Stands nicely round out our already
extensive line of well made, dependable equipment. Also in
the “New” department is our addition of a complete line of
ILLUMINATORS

Wolf manufactured products are
warranteed, under normal use and
service, to be free from defects in
material and workmanship for a period DARKROOM
of one year from the original date of
DARKROOM
shipment by Wolf. The evaluation, and
determination to repair or replace
defective part or parts, will remain the
sole right of Wolf X-Ray. All repairs and replacements made under
warranty are F.O.B. factory shipping point. Purchaser’s sole remedy
for any defect is for repair or replacement pursuant to the foregoing
labor costs are not covered by this warranty; unless the product has
been returned by the distributor to the Wolf factory, and the parts in
question have proven to be defective as determined by Wolf. All freight
costs associated with returning the product to the factory must be VETERINARY
prepaid. A Wolf return authorization number must be obtained prior to
any enforcement of this warranty. Product that has been improperly

installed or altered in any way is not covered by this warranty. Variable

transformers, ballasts, switches, and plexiglas panels will be replaced
provided notification of defect is received and confirmed by Wolf within
90 days of shipment. This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties,
expressed and implied, including warranties of merchantability and
fitness for purpose.

Wolf’s Antimicrobial Apron

This easy-to-clean material features a
polyurethane laminate top layer to assist in the reduction
of bioburdens and microorganisms. The liquid-proof
layer prevents blood, urine, barium and other liquids from
penetrating the lead apron.
Any Wolf apron can be made out of this new antimicrobial
vinyl material, like our most-popular Easy Wrap Apron. With
the Easy Wrap, two side hook-n-loop closures allow you to
custom fit the weight distribution. Apron includes a detachable
thyroid collar that clips to the apron when not in use. This Easy
Wrap Antimicrobial Apron provides 0.5mm Lead Equivalency
Protection and follows JCAHO and AORN requirements.

Wolf’s C-Arm Apron
The one apron that protects you while
standing AND sitting!
Wolf’s new C-Arm Apron is an all-in-one apron that
can be used by any member of the surgical team while
they stand or sit! In a seated position, other standing
aprons do not provide sufficient protection for the
long femur bone and groin areas, due to the lack of
flexibility in the material. Wolf’s new C-Arm Apron
eliminates the risk of radiation exposure and provides
full coverage for the groin and femur.

Easy Wrap Apron
Our Easy Wrap Apron is the professional standard. Two side closures
of hook-n-loop material allow you to custom-fit the shoulder weight
distribution. A handy pocket is sewn on the breast.
Easy Wrap Apron With Attached Thyroid Collar...Great for the OR.
The same fit and form as our standard Easy Wrap, this style has a Thyroid Collar
included. The collar attaches to the apron with a strap to ensure it doesn’t

Coat Apron
The Coat Apron features a 2 inch wide adjustable belt that helps “lift”
the apron weight off your shoulders. The open back design allows you great
freedom of movement.
Coat Apron With Attached Thyroid Collar...Never misplace your collar
again! The same Coat Apron as above, this version has a collar attached with
a strap. The collar attaches with a closed hook so it can be easily detached if
desired.

Apron and Vest
A unique protective apron design that provides complete front and
back coverage with the apron weight distributed evenly across the shoulders
and hips. The apron is a wrap-around style which ensures a perfect fit.
Now Wolf’s popular Apron and Vest is available specifically sized for
Ladies and Men (see stock number tables below) and is also available with
an optional Thyroid collar. The detachable Thyroid collar is connected to the
vest by a strap.

X-Ray Protective “Rad Cap”

Wolf’s X-Ray protective head cap helps protect the
skull from radiation, providing 0.5 mm LEP on all
sides and 0.25 mm protection on top. Made of the
same materials as our aprons, the Rad Cap will
provide many years of dependable service. One Gonad Shield Set

Definition of Terms
Bulbs per 14” x 17” Viewing area: All Illuminators come with fluorescent bulbs, the number of bulbs per 14” x 17” panel
are listed below. Actual candela per square meter per panel is listed on the individual descriptive pages.
Cluster Switch: Switches include a “master switch” to shut off the entire unit. These are standard for 2 over 2 & up.
Reflectors: All Wolf illuminators are equipped with advanced reflectors which guarantee a diffused, evenly lit viewing area.
Auto Switch: Switches on when film is inserted, off when it’s removed.
Individual Switch: Individual “on/off” switch per 14” x 17” section.
Hospital Grade Plus: A spark-proof, hospital approved, 3 prong plug.
Roller Grip: A roller bar grip extending full viewing length.
Magic Grip: Built in tension grip, no moving parts.
Wolf’s E-Z Bar: Allows you to install Wall Hung units simply, quickly and without opening the unit! Simply screw the provided

Never lose a film agan! Wolf’s Liberator ingeniously attaches the film
grip to the plexiglass to form a perfect film-holding assembly that never
goes out of alignment. Our Magna-Lock assembly holds the panel in place
until you want to get inside, then the entire panel comes off quickly and
effortlessly with a simple pull. Changing a light bulb or cleaning inside
the illuminator has never been easier! Whether it’s installation, service or
operation, the Liberator is at the top of the class.
The Liberator is available in two styles. The Liberator Plus is a 4 bulb
illuminator, available from a single 14” X 17” viewing area up to 2 tiers
of 84” X 17” each. The Liberator Hi Lo is available in the same sizes but
features 6 bulbs per 14” x 17” viewing area. Each area of the Hi Lo can be
dimmed to 4 bulbs with the press of a button.
Either model can be wall mounted in minutes with our E-Z Mounting Bar,
beautifully recessed in a wall with our Recessing Kit, or mounted on a
mobile stand.

The Mammoline Mammography
Illuminator
The Mammoline combines superior lighting technology
with ACR mandated masking shutters for optimum film
viewing.
At top intensity, the Mammoline produces over 7,600
Candela per square meter of illumination! You can also
adjust the light output down to 270 Candela via a built-in
dimmer (the ACR recommends a minimum of 3,400 Candela
per square meter per viewing area).
Wolf’s unique reflector design disperses light evenly to
eliminate “hot spots” found on other viewers. The ballasts
are state-of-the-art energy efficient solid-state units for
flicker-free instant-on lighting. The Mammoline’s shutters
are completely light-proof and glide easily on horizontal
and vertical tracks. Film grips are gravity rollers for easy film
mounting.
The Mammoline is easily wall-mounted by means of Wolf’s
unique E-Z Mounting Bar. An optional Mobile Stand is also
available. (Stock No. 21504MS-28.) The Mammoline cabinet
is 48” long, 36” high and 5” deep. The viewing area is two
tiers measuring 38 1/2” x 11” each. The finish is baked-on
enamel. The approximate shipping weight for wall-hung
units is 146 lbs.

VuPlus Mammography Viewer

The VuPlus is a mammography viewer with all the special
features mammography imaging requires.
The viewing area is custom sized to 29 x 48-1/2 cm
to minimize light spillover, and the unit has two light
intensities.
The VuPlus features a white baked-on enamel finish, a
gravity-roller film grip retainer, five fluorescent lamps per
viewing area (3,426 candela per square meter), a rocker
switch and an 8’ cord with 3-prong plug.

Blue Emitting Calcium Tungstate
Detail (fine): A very slow system seldom used in modern radiography, used by Podiatrists in some instances. It has a relative speed of 50 when used with Hi Speed
Blue Film.
Medium: Twice the relative speed of Detail (100), and like Detail, seldom used today.
Hi-Plus: With a relative speed of 200 when used with High Speed Blue Film, this is the most commonly used screen that does NOT employ a rare earth phosphor.
Lighting Plus: Listed here just for your information. These screens are used in very specific situations and seldom produce medical diagnostic results as they are
too fast resulting in grainy films.
Green Rare Earth Screens
FILM & CASSETTES

Fine: 100 speed system when used with regular speed green film. Very fine detail system, used for extremity x-rays.
Medium: Twice the speed of the fine system but seldom employed in radiography today.
Regular: Has a relative speed of 400 when used with regular green sensitive film. Far and away the most commonly employed film screen system today.
Fast: The highest speed green rare earth screen. With regular green sensitive film you would have a 600 speed and with high speed green film you could get a
speed of 1200. It is seldom used in radiography today.
Blue Rare Earth ScreensBlue
Detail: With regular speed blue the relative speed would be 200, and with half speed film 100. Hardly used.
Blue Fast Detail: Here you would have exactly double of the “blue detail” depending on which blue film isused. You will find this product in some Chiropractic offices.
Blue III: This is the most commonly used blue rare earth screen. With high speed film you would have an 800 speed, and with half speed film you would get 400.
For the blue rare earth market, the one you will find most frequently would be this screen with the half speed blue film. Note that you would get a 400 speed system
just as you do with the green regular system.
