Preempt Style
main system: you are almost not to preempt w/ 2 Aces , you can preempt with void
or 4M though. The only case you can preempt w/ 2 Aces, is that when partner have
already passed, and you preempt directly to game(3NT,4M or 5m).

General range when preempt with 6-card suit:

1st,2nd 3rd 4th
5+~10- 3+~8-
unvul. VS vul. 9+~13-
Qxxxxx+(6-4) xxxxxx+(6-4)
same vul. 6+~10 5+~9+ 9+~13-
8+~11- 7+~10+
vul. VS unvul. 9+~13-
KQxxxx+ KJTxxx+

PS If you have another 4-card suit accompany with your 6-card main suit, the
power you need to preempt can be decreased by 1~2 point, depending on the vul
and seat.
You can preempt with a 5-card semi-solid suit only in 3rd seat.
You might light openbid at 3rd seat instead of preempt, reference the range
between preempt and normal openbid.
When openbid at 2 level in 4th seat, means that you think there’s little chance
that you and your partner might have game(you want to buy this contract).
When openbid 2H or 2D in the 4th seat, more power or healthier defensive trick
is recommend, you don’t want opponents to play a 2M contract that you can’t
defeat.
When partner overcall in 2nd level the time that opponents is already FG, it’s
also a preempt, don’t consider it a normal overcall.(it is usually a lead-directing bid)

Overcall
General principle: 1st level 8~, 2nd level 10~.
You overcall with a good suit, or with some power to competitive with opponents.
When overcall 1.5 defensive trick is recommend, otherwise think about preempt.
You should overcall instead of preempt, if when partner cuebid, you would like to bid
a game.
You can over call with a 4-card semi-solid suit in 1st level, but never in 2nd level.

Respond to partner’s overcall:

1st level or 2nd level new suit is NF, but support partner if you can.
Partner’s cuebid is FORCING but NOT promise support in you suit
1. Bid your suit again, show you have minimum power(not promising extra length).
2. Bid a suit lower than your original suit not showing extra power(but show 5-4+),
partner would bid your first suit or bid the lowest NT to show he can only invite
you.
3. Jump rebid your suit show extra length and FG.
4. Bid a suit higher than your original suit show 5-4+ and FG.
5. Cuebiding again show FG and waiting, might be asking for stopper.
