Security of individual rights, like the security of national rights was a
necessary requisite to a peaceful and stable world order. By guaranteeing life,
liberty, equality, and security, human rights security protect people against abuse
by those who are more powerful.
2. After reading this article, can you now define what does the phrase “Human
Rights” mean?
________Base on my own understanding human rights is the legal rights of
every individual person in this world, whether it is civil, political, economic, social
and cultural rights.
3. Why was Rizal shot at the Bagumbayan? Is there human rights violation involved
in his death?
4. Does the protection of fundamental rights at odds with enacting laws to protect
national security?
No, I think before they implement the fundamental rights and national
security, they make sure that these two has been already balanced so that there
are no problems between these.

Killing, for example A killed B, the first violation is that A killed B
then it leads to second violation is that B was deprived his/her rights to
live.
2. If marriage is a civil right, and human rights are universal, should we allow same-
sex marriage? If yes, why? If no, why?
No, because same sex marriage is against the bible. Same sex may
live together, but I think going into marriage should not allowed.
3. If part of the civil rights of a person is the right to live, does he have the right to
die on his own terms? If yes, why? If no, why?
No, because it seems to appear to be suicidal if a person has the
right to die in his own way. Taking your own life is also against in the bible.
