1. What are the reasons for your course choice?

For example what in particular about the course

interests you and are there specific modulus that appeal to you?

I chose to study MSC of clinical nursing at Anglia Ruskin University, because this course offers the
opportunity to demonstrate the ability for critical understanding in the intensive care unit in addition
that this course will help me to gain experience from the researchers and instructors teaching clinical
nursing at ARU. Also I am planning to benefit from the opportunity studying at ARU to work on my
masters research with the great professors at ARU since there are a lot of researchers working in my
domain of interest which is about diagnosing process of strokes and its interventions in a detailed way
which is one of the topics that Prof. Iris Q Grunwald is working on since she is one of the best professors
in this domain.

I will study this course to gain experience about Leadership skills that will benefit my future career, in
addition to the practical experience and knowledge about pain and wound management. There are
some courses about mental health care will help me to widen my knowledge in this domain.

2. How does your previous study and work experience relate to this course?

During my bachelors degree in nursing, I had studied courses that will allow me to be ready to do this
master’s degree including courses about critical care, critical practice, pediatric practice, leadership and
administration, public health, and research methodology which will be the core of my study and
research in ARU.

After graduating since 4 months I started to work as a intensive care unit registrated nurse specially
strokes section at AL-RAEE MEDICAL CENTER. In addition I had a three years of practicing courses in
different hospitals in Lebanon as JABAL AMIL HOSPITAL, LABIB MEDICAL CENTER, ALAA DINE MEDICAL
CENTER as a trainee.

3. What are you future plans and how will this course help you achieve your career goals?

My future goal is to gain experience in this domain and from the research opportunities that I will have
in ARU, since I am planning to work in the future in both the research and practical domains. And doing
this masters will help me to apply to work in universities in Lebanon including the top universities here
like American university in Beirut since the experience and knowledge from ARU will help me to be a top
candidate. Also I am planning to use the masters degree to help me improve my qualifications to be able
to work in directing positions as a nursing director, since the courses about the practical and leadership
knowledge will help me reach this level.

In addition I am planning for registration through many occupations as American University of Beirut
Medical Center, Johns Hopkins Medical Center, and Clemenceau Medical Center.

I have participated in voluntary nursing care for geriatric patients in Syrian refugee camps, in addition I
had been working as a private nurse for elderly patients for 3 years during my collage study. I am
working now as a registrated nurse in the intensive care unit at AL-RAEE Medical Center
