Job Advertisement for Fleet Officer

Plan International is an international child and youth development organization dedicated to promote the
realization of children and young people’s rights, especially girl’s rights, in both development and
humanitarian settings. Plan International in Myanmar is supporting a broad spectrum of initiatives
designed to support integrated child development and youth empowerment outcomes that are
strategically aligned with the national government’s priorities. Sectors of focus include: Early Childhood
Care and Development (ECCD), Maternal, Newborn and Child Health and Nutrition (MNCHN), Water,
Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Resilience and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Child Protection,
Education, Adolescent Development, Youth Economic Empowerment, Youth-Led Peace Building and Social
Cohesion, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and Non-Communicable Disease (NCD)
Prevention among young people.

Position: Fleet Officer


Accountable to: Logistics Specialist
Location: Country Office, Yangon
Assignment Type: 1 year with possible extension

Travel Percentage: 25%

Job background:
The Fleet Officer will be responsible for the quality support to logistics department of the Plan
International country office in Yangon. The post holder will work closely with the operation team, service
providers to ensure that timely and appropriate fleet and reception area management. This is a full-time
position based in Yangon Country office and 25% of traveling in case other office drivers are not free.

Job purpose:
 Under close supervision of the Logistics Specialist, the Fleet Officer will Participate in the
preparation, planning and implementation of fleet activities to ensure delivery by program staff of
goals and services to incipient on time.
 Supervise fleet management which include:
1) Substitute when the office driver is on leave.
2) ensure well used and maintenance of vehicles
3) schedule and monitor transportation from staff
4) Monitor and manage log sheets, fuel consumption and vehicle control and facilitate timely
reporting for fleet activities
5) Secure all Plan vehicles are equipped with necessary documents and equipment
6) Responsible for the day to day vehicle development, track the field movement and make
sure the record is properly managed
7) Perform filling of all documents related to the fleet as required
 Report any accidents, insurance, license renewal or other documentation issues to line manager
 Supervise and manage the fuel stock and fuel consumption
 Monitoring/supervision/ maintenance of Plan Vehicles and generators
 Liaise with finance to ensure compliance and payment schedules and all vehicles, fuel payments
are paid timely
 Maintain all hard and soft copy files for the fleet tasks, vehicle registration, license, insurance and
other necessary related document
 Carry out any other tasks assigned by supervisor

Fleet Officer will be provided with technical support and guidance to fulfil the above responsibilities

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

 Minimum of two to three years of relevant work experience


 Good Experience in driving Vehicle, managing pool vehicle management and administration
 Flexibility under pressure and in response to changing needs in preferable
 Good Computer and data management skills
 Experience working in development sector/ working with children/adolescents/youth
 Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
 Strong team-building and facilitation skills
 Excellent communication skills
