To Whom it May Concern,

It is my pleasure to write an enthusiastic letter of recommendation for Avery Wilder, whom I

have had the pleasure of teaching in my 11/12 Honors English class at Windsor High School. I
teach English closely with a cohort of other teachers where we collaborate to provide students
with CTE cross curricular, and arts and project based learning. Avery has been part of our
program for the past two years while also opting to be part of our Honor Integrated program
where she is held to higher expectations, greater rigor, and looked upon as a class leader.

Through the program our students are given the opportunity to explore their academic interests
through more creative means, and we complete two student lead performances each year.
Avery has pushed herself to not only shine and succeed academically, but also during our
production process. Each opportunity provided, Avery has melded her love of literature and
stage by volunteering to be part of the groups which would write the original scripts for our
production, and would then audition and perform in the shows as well. She worked closely with
professional directors and scriptwriters during the process, all of whom enjoyed the maturity,
creativity, and professionalism Avery showed during each experience. These responsibilities
alone are a great deal to balance and manage, but Avery did so with poise and confidence,
while also keeping up with all of her academics, never allowing her work to suffer or falter in
quality. It was a gift to watch her strengthen and grow as a student and as an actor on stage.

Avery’s responsibility, commitment to academic excellence and burgeoning confidence as a

performer are remarkable. I’m always impressed by her ability to lead and mentor her peers.
She exemplifies humility and maturity in the classroom, and during extracurricular activities. She
is certain to enrich your program as powerful as she is enriching our campus.

I strongly recommend Avery, and I urge you not to miss the opportunity to work with this
