This document provides instructions for making a paper plate fish craft. The craft uses a single paper plate that is cut to form the fish's tail and mouth. Googly eyes or drawn eyes are added. The fish is colored and scales or other details are drawn. Optionally, a smaller paper fish can be attached by thread to make it appear to be in the larger fish's mouth. The craft uses simple materials and is easy for children to complete.

Supplies needed:
Paper plate Scissors Glue (or tape or a stapler) Googly eyes (optional)
Crayons, paint or markers
Cut a wedge out of a paper plate.
The wedge will be the fish's tail; the hole will be the fish's mouth.
Glue (or use tape or a stapler) the tail to the end
of the fish. Glue a googly eye on the fish (glue on two eyes if you want a flounder) or simply draw eye(s). Color in the fish, drawing scales, lips, and so on. For an extra touch, make a tiny fish (use the same instructions as above, but start with a tiny circle made from construction paper). Hang the tiny fish from the large fish's mouth using a short piece of thread.
