SEVENTH SEMESTER “B”
STUDENT: Hanzel Echeverría Suqui

DATE: 02/12/2020 PROFESSOR: Msc. Maribel Barreto SUBJECT: Technical English I

TOPIC: Do a diagram about the similarities and differences of the central and peripheral nervous system.

CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM.

o The central nervous system is a system made up of sensory and
motor nerves related to the brain and spinal cord in an afferent and
efferent way.
o The central nervous system is connected to sensory receptors,
muscles, and glands in peripheral areas of the body controlled by
the PNS.
o The main functions of our body are controlled by the brain.
o The central nervous system is made up of the brain and the spinal
cord.

SIMILARITIES
The central and peripheral nervous system
is responsible for controlling movements
and bodily sensations, since one needs the
other to cooperate in the same function,
both the central nervous system composed
of the brain and spinal cord, and the
peripheral one with the nerves distributed
throughout the body.

PERIPHERAL NERVOUS SYSTEM

o The peripheral nervous system is composed of cranial,
spinal and sensory nerves.
o In the PNS, sensory neurons contract nerve impulses
from sensory receptors in various parts of the body to
the central nervous system.
o The peripheral nervous system is made up of dorsal and
ventral nerve cells and the network of spinal and cranial
nerves that are connected to the brain and spinal cord at
one end and to muscles at the other.
o The peripheral nervous system is composed of cranial,
spinal and sensory nerves.
