Evaluative Criteria for Day 1 Assessment, Full/Partial Credit

A student will receive full credit on their exit ticket by:

● Describing one entire political movement within the Han Dynasty.


● Describing one entire social movement within the Han Dynasty.
● Stating one geographical feature of the Han Dynasty.
A student will receive partial credit on their exit ticket if:

● They complete two of the three above criteria to the full standard.

OR

● They complete three of the full credit criteria to some extent, but not to the full standard
(Not fully describing a political or social movement, stating a geographical feature that
was not of significance to the Han Dynasty or not apart of their territory).

A student will receive no credit on their exit ticket if:

● They can only complete one of the three full credit criteria to a complete standard.

OR

● Their answers for the three questions of the extra credit are not correct or incomplete.

Evaluative Criteria for Day 2 Assessment, Full/Partial Credit

A student will receive full credit on their exit ticket by:

● Stating a total of three elements similar in the fall of the Han Dynasty and Mayan
Civilization:
○ It can be any combination of political, socioeconomic, or environmental.

A student will receive partial credit on their exit ticket if:

● Stating two or only one similar in the fall of the Han Dynasty and Mayan Civilization:
○ It can be any combination of political, socioeconomic, or environmental.

A student will receive no credit on their exit ticket if:

● They cannot state any element similar in the similar in the fall of the Han Dynasty and
Mayan Civilization (either political, socioeconomic, or environmental)

Evaluative Criteria for Day 3 Assessment, Quiz Grade/Pass or Fail

 Students will complete a low-stakes ten question multiple choice quiz


o Each question is worth 10 points
o Refer to the quiz answer key
 A student will pass if:
o They answer at least six questions correctly to obtain the minimum number of
points, 60 points out of 100 points
 A student will fail if:
o They cannot answer at least 6 or more questions, meaning they have not earned
enough points to obtain a bare minimum passing numerical grade

Evaluative Criteria for Day 3 Assessment, Full/Partial Credit

A student will receive full credit on their Venn Diagram by:

● Listing at least one connection between the Roman Empire and Han Dynasty.
● Listing at least one connection between the Roman Empire and Mayan Civilization.
● Listing at least one connection between Mayan Civilization and Han Dynasty.
● Stating at least one connection common between the Roman Empire, the Mayan
Civilization and the Han Dynasty.
● Being able to acknowledge individual factors involved in the fall of empires as well.

A student will receive partial credit on their exit ticket if:

● They can list the similarities between only two connected empires.

● They are unable to list one factor similar in all three empires

● They are do not list individual differences in the fall of empires.

OR

● Some of their connections are incorrect or incomplete.

A student will receive no credit on their exit ticket if:

● They are unable to see any similarities between at least two of the empires AND all three
of the empires.

OR

● Their answers incorrect or incomplete.
