The SOAP Bible study method is quite simple but you
can build onto it to go as in depth as you'd like. Feel free
to add elements such as verse mapping to go deeper in
the Word and see what God speaks to you!
Just choose a verse from your Bible reading and follow
the steps outlined below. There are worksheets included
for you to use!

S
S is for Scripture - Write down one verse from your Bible reading
that was meaningful for you!

O
O is for Observation - What stood out to you most? Did God
speak to you in the verse? Think 'Who, What, When, Where,
How' in this step. Did you learn anything new (try verse
mapping here)!

A
A is for Application - How can you apply this scripture to your
life? Can you form a new habit from it? Make a change?

P
P is for Prayer - Can you think of a prayer using this scripture?
Ask God to show you how you can use this scripture in your life.

found through exploring your Scripture verse. It is a good place to
plan out your next verse to study as well!

As you go through your verse, see if there are any references to other verses! Look
those up as well and see if it adds any clarity or expands on what you studied. If you
feel they would make a good study in themselves, write that down as well.
