My Life in 6 Word Memoirs

Surprise, surprise! A baby has arrived!

Then baby went back and forth.

Long car rides and stuffed bags.

New partners, new norms, new betrayals.

School started rocky, then came friends.

Then came another move—bye friends.

Starting anew young is pretty easy.

A new stepmom is not easy.

Emotions ran high, I lost battles.

Why were there so many battles?

I constantly missed my away-family.

I fell in the darkness sometimes.

I was a very perceptive child.

I knew what was going on.

After some awkwardness, I flourished some.

I had great friends, a place.

There were still some hard times.

I found reading as a solace.

Then we moved again—bye friends.

Only, I still had my friends.

They just weren’t as close geographically.

A new high school is hard…

Where do I fit in now?

Teachers and books helped me along.

I gradually found my way there.

I branched out, opened my mind.

Graduation is here! Grab the gowns!

Grab your friends and group hug!

Hold on to what you can.

Moving time again—bye friends, again.

A big university and bad roommates.

Then a new year, new major!

Then some happiness settles in here.

Being an adult means hard choices.

Boundaries and self-care are important!

Gotta take life by each day.
